This year’s ceremony takes place during the Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festiva
Mississauga residents are invited to attend the 2026 Mississauga Music Walk of Fame induction ceremony. This year’s event takes place during the Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival and will honour new inductees, Don Breithaupt, an Emmy Award winning musician and composer and Brian Murray, founder and President of Guitar Workshop Plus.

The ceremony will take place at 10:45am on Sunday September 13 at Memorial Park’s Gazebo Stage in Port Credit.
The Mississauga Music Walk of Fame was founded in 2012 by the late city councillor Jim Tovey. Every year the selection committee accepts nominations from the public for deserving recipients who have a strong connection to Mississauga. Nominations for next year’s induction ceremony are now open.
Don Breithaupt is known for his Juno-nominated Monkey House project, writing the music for the animated series 6teen, and writing songs for Chicago and The Manhattan Transfer.
Brian Murray, a Humber College Jazz Performance graduate, is known internationally for his music education program Guitar Workshop Plus.
