Back-to-school & back-to-work: simple steps to keep your family healthy this fall

As families return to school and work routines this fall, staying healthy is key to keeping energy levels high and avoiding unnecessary sick days. Here are a few practical tips to support wellness for you and
your loved ones:

  • Stick to a consistent sleep schedule: Adequate rest is essential for focus, immunity, and overall well-being. Make sleep a non-negotiable part of your daily routine.
  • Fuel up with a balanced breakfast: Start the day with protein and nutrients to boost concentration and energy. Consider adding essential vitamins, including B and C, to your daily regimen.
  • Practice good hygiene: Remind children to wash their hands often and cover coughs or sneezes. If you’re unwell, stay home until you recover— usually one to three days. Use separate dishes and utensils during this time, and make the most of your rest with a good book, movie, or podcast.
  • Manage screen time: Encourage activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction over excessive screen use. Planning daily schedules can help strike the right balance. With a little organization and mindful habits, your family can enjoy a healthier, happier season both in the classroom and at work.
