New parking meters coming to Mississauga

Beginning in March, the City will be installing new parking meters in Mississauga on streets in Downtown Mississauga, Cooksville, Streetsville, Clarkson and Port Credit. According to the city, the new parking meters in Mississauga will “better align with industry standards and provide better service.”

The new “user-friendly” machines allow a license plate number to be entered and will take payment by coins ($0.25, $1, $2), debit, major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express) and contactless payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay).

To use the new parking meters:

  1. Touch the screen.
  2. Select your payment method.
  3. Enter your license plate number and how long you’d like to park for
  4. Print your receipt and place it on the vehicle dash.

To report a problem or a broken meter, call 311.
