MiWay secures 10 years of federal funding

“Funding amounts to $112 million over a decade”

MiWay recently announced over $123 million in federal government funding for Mississauga transit. The $112 million over 10 years from the Canada Public Transit Fund will be used to maintain, upgrade, replace and modernize the city’s transit infrastructure.

An additional $10.9 million from the Zero Emissions Transit Fund will go toward the purchase of hydrogen fuel cell buses and the installation of new hydrogen fuelling infrastructure at the Malton bus Depot.
