Battleford Rd pedestrian bridge being rebuilt

The pedestrian bridge over Battleford Road and Trail Work is all set to receive a makeover. The City of Mississauga’s work includes installing erosion and sediment control, clearing, grubbing and providing temporary access roads.

Battleford Road will be closed overnight a few times throughout the summer. The public can also expect construction-related dust, noise and traffic delays. One lane road closure can be expected in each direction, and it may be applied when needed. The trail within project limits will be closed during construction. Additionally, sidewalks will remain open but maybe closed temporarily for safety reasons.

MiWay bus route #10 will be impacted by construction work. The MiWay website will have additional updates for commuters.

The site of construction will be restored with sods, trees and flower beds after the bridge work has been completed. Residents also might experience temporary disruptions to utilities.

Construction was scheduled to start at the end of June and is set to end on August 29.
