Scarborough families looking for a new and improved way to beat the heat this summer may want to check out the redesigned Terraview Park splash pad.
The family park is located at 1625 Pharmacy Avenue, just south of the 401. It has a playground, gazebo, pond, splash pad and sports fields.
On Sunday July 12, the splash pad celebrated its official re-opening with Scarborough Centre city councillor Michael Thompson and Scarborough Centre – Don Valley East MP Salma Zahid.
Councillor Thompson thanked the community members and city staff who contributed to the revitalization of the splash pad.
The redesign was the subject of a very detailed public consultation process, which 255 respondents participated in when it was conducted in 2024. While most of the work was done in 2025, this is the first summer that the splash pad has been available for use.
The survey asked community members what features they liked about the park. It even went into detail showing designs of the splash pad and asking if people preferred bullfrog, cattail or serpent themed designs and whether or not they voted for arching water sprays or upright sprays of water.
The Terraview Park splash pad is open daily from 9am to 9pm, until September 13. This is the set schedule for all splash pads across the city.
