Good news for kids who love to climb through and explore trucks. The City of Mississauga’s annual Family Fun Day is back on, rescheduled for August 8.
The free event — which features the popular ‘ touch a truck ’ activities — was supposed to happen in May but was cancelled due to rain.
Families will get to explore all sorts of municipal trucks and vehicles. These include a snowplow, MiWay bus, and front-end loader. New this year is the inclusion of a windrow-clearing machine, which is a new service provided by the City.
The event also includes interactive exhibits, educational activities and a bouncy castle.
It will be held near City Hall, on Princess Royal Drive, outside the Living Arts Centre.
The event happens on Saturday, August 8, from 10am-4pm.
Family Fun Day is usually held in May to coincide with National Public Works Week, which recognizes public works staff from across the country.
