Reader response – more speed humps coming

“Your recent article on speed humps caught my eye. I’m told they will be coming to Amberjack and Dolly Varden for the bargain basement price of $60,000 and can confirm that there was no consultation whatsoever.
Five out of 154 households complained, a study was done showing some people were speeding (with a limit of 30km, it’s hard not to) and approved they were.
Ironically, the stated purpose is to improve safety on a street that hasn’t had an accident or injury in living memory.  How do you improve on perfect?
All that aside, wait until the noise and exhaust pollution levels go up from all that speeding up, slowing down, bump, bump, speeding up, slowing down, bump, bumping starts. Buyers’ remorse should kick in fairly quickly. “
